There are sort of two basic groups of standards: Vocal songs and Instrumentals (fiddle tunes). Since these lessons are geared toward flat picking and instruments I’ll give you a short list of some of the instrumentals I consider to be must knows: Black Berry Blossom, Red Haired Boy, Black Mountain Rag, Solider’s Joy, Whiskey Before Breakfast, Texas Gales, Wildwood Flower, Bill Cheathum, Billy In the Lowground, Arkansas Traveler, Monroe’s Hornpipe, Jerusalem Ridge…the list could go on and on.

Hey Blackmagicprince, someone like Adam offers you gold and you say it is worth nothing, just copy the tabs with a pencil and paper, I assume you can write

I just finished watching the other vids in this series, and I love how you make this easy to understand. Now I have a reason to practice scales.

How do I print out that tab for this lesson? There is no instruction on how to do that. This lesson is worth NOTHING if I don’t have the written materials to acompany it..

This is great instruction!!! Thank you very much! I also don’t read music, so it is awesome that you have included the written scale in the beginning of your vid, AND with the tabs. Makes better sense,…to me anyway!:-) min:-)
